PROJECTS

Many of the openCoLab’s founding members are our creatives: coders, developers, UX, UI, mobile apps and designers specialising in blockchain technology and associated decentralised applications.

For the openCoLab, the appeal of distributed ledger technologies lies in its abilities to offer an accurate and authoritative record of events, without the need for intermediates or central authorisation. This proposition opens up a wide and diverse range of applications for business and government on matters of governance, regulation, security and privacy.

The openCoLab’s value proposition is that it can work on projects that organisations may find a bit risky to work on in-house. Using Agile methodologies influenced by Lean thinking, the openCoLab prefers to work on projects that solve real world problems rather than push products.

Should you have a project that you would like to discuss please get in touch.

ADVISORY

Other openCoLab founding members are experienced in design thinking, business development, cloud computing, data analytics, marketing, commercialisation, equity financing and project management. Some are also immersed in blockchain technology and associated decentralised applications.

The openColab acknowledges that blockchain technology and associated decentralised applications are complex and its development is in its infancy stages.  Think what the internet was like when it was first introduced to the world. The openCoLab believes that the technology only makes sense in certain circumstances.

Should you want to learn more and whether the technology suits your organisation please get in touch

WORKSHOPS

A number of the openColab Founders are organisers of Meet Ups including Bitcoin, Blockchain and Ethereum. Over time the organisers have developed and delivered hundreds of hours of education and insights to its Meet Up members.

Content such as cryptocurrency, cryptography, colour coin, smart contracts, blockchain, Ethereum, peer to peer, and decentralised autonomous organisations is available.

In particular, Lucas Cullen, CEO of Bitcoin Brisbane offers blockchain technology consultancy and education which can be delivered by informal chats or through a 3 Day Masterclass Blockchain Workshop.  Please get in touch for more information.

EVENTS

As the openCoLab builds momentum as a living human system in relationships with each other to work on things that matter; it is envisaged that it will seek out to co-design events that showcase the collaborative economy in motion solving social problems.

Such events would bring together people to start asking questions about the future of our cities, of our institutions and society as a whole.  Ideas around global democratisation, social change, future of work, and how organisations can adapt in the 21st century from vision to values, to ownership and governance models.

As Rahul Kumar from Transdev Digital Factory explains, we must find a medium to change from competition to cooperation.

Should you, your organisation or your community want to learn more about either the openCoLab’s projects and / or would like more information about blockchain technology and associated decentralised applications, please get in touch.

“When we seek for connection, we restore the world to wholeness.  Our seemingly separate lives become meaningful as we discover how truly necessary we are to each other.”
